Ask Wines looks like a chatbot. It isn't one. SI stands for Somm Intelligence, and every answer is typed by a real wine pro, one question at a time, in the order received.

It runs once, for 24 hours, from noon Pacific on Wednesday, November 25, 2026 to noon on Thanksgiving Day. Wine pros work in 20-minute shifts, three at a time. Follow-ups skip the line. When the time is up, it's over.

Your answer might take a while. The wait is the part where someone is actually reading your question.
